(1-25 of 88)ShareFile is a great product
- Great for sharing large attachments
- Easy for users to open files you send to them
- Notifications are great to verify when a user opens a file you sent to them
- Plugin for Outlook seems to be a bit resource intensive
- Online editing requires separate paid subscription
- Sharing options could use some improvements
- Easy and intuitive to use
- Encryption of information
- Data validation
- Maybe it could be integrated with even more applications but for email it is ideal as it can be used with Microsoft 365 and Google
- A lower price per user would make it more attractive
- It would be appreciated if the standard plan could include more functionalities.
Love ShareFile & will use a long while
- Rapid, easy uploading of files
- Saves e-mail addresses of participants for repetitive use on multiple projects
- Simplifies grouping of activities, files, addresses, etc. to make using ShareFile time-efficient
- Automates notification of uploads and downloads using e-mail
- Provides easy file management for folders, inclusions, deletions, file properties, etc.
- ShareFile works great among subscribers, and one can take advantage of ShareFile's best features of automation with other ShareFile users. But these features are less functional among non-subscribers. We can still send, receive, etc. among anyone with an e-mail address; but an extra level of effort is required for data security among non-subscrirers with whom we interact the most.
- I like two-factor authentication when signing in, but it is a little cumbersome to use with ShareFile in its current mode. Anything to simplify this is appreciated.
A problem that we have not had [yet], but wonder about is this: Are ShareFile and its e-mailed links safe for transmission to/from U.S. Government computers? All of our public-sector clients are state and locality-based. We haven't had any interacton with U.S. entities. U.S. entities, especially DOD, are rather particular about these type of file-sharing sites and links embedded inside e-mails.

- Security
- Email notification
- Direct movement of uploaded files to CaseWare (does not currently allow)
ShareFile: A justifiable excuse to drop dropbox.
- Messages clients with pertinent information.
- Provides unlimited storage.
- Allows for individual user permissions and access.
- Moving files is frustrating. I'd like to option to remember the last folder accessed.
- The dashboard could use some more customization options. My only options are: Recent files, Shortcuts, Tutorials, and Favorites. Why can't I have two favorite lists? or perhaps a separate list of recently uploaded files.
- When I view the activity log, it would be great if I could click on the item name and be taken to the location. I'd also like to modify the size of the columns.
- Collaborative Magazine Production: ShareFile excels in multi-edition magazine publications with collaborative content creation, offering real-time co-authoring and secure file sharing for editorial teams.
- Content Approval Workflow: ShareFile is ideal for streamlining content approval processes, enabling reviewers to access and comment on magazine drafts securely, making it efficient for users to provide feedback.
- Individual Content Creation: If magazine production primarily involves individuals working independently without collaborative needs, ShareFile's collaboration features may be overly complex and unnecessary.
- Limited Resources: For publications with limited budgets, ShareFile's robust feature set may be cost-prohibitive compared to more budget-friendly file-sharing solutions.

ShareFile to the rescue!
we use ShareFile to exchange files in-between employees and with customers. We are now exploring the Workflows and Signature section.
- Sharing big size files
- Allowing to share only specific files for a period of time
- The Worflows seems to help for document controls
- Time to transfer files

Secure but slow.
- Secure email delivery.
- Lets me know right away if I've received something.
- Excellent security - I trust that.
- Runs much too slowly when I go to retrieve a sent file.
- No way to search for files I have sent or received - I can only sort by column headers. That's inexcusable.
- Securely share files
- Access to clients
- Setup access to employees to certain files.
- Ability to email files to a folder
- Ability to see the "client view" as an owner of the folders to set up more efficiently.
ShareFile is indispensable for a business!
- Allows to send sensitive important files to clients.
- Allows to send large files.
- Allows to send different types of files.
- I cannot think of any item for improvement.
Best software for e-signature
- It provides best advanced security solution, utilizing up to 256 bit of SSL encryption.
- It cuts out complex agreement processes with the help of simplified and secure e-signature.
- It helps maintaining the custom branding in multiple ways like Embed link, logo etc.
- There is still room for improvement in terms of ease of use.
- It is possible to provide software updates on a timely basis.
- Depending on the business needs, integration can be made.

Definitely worth the free trail!

- Provides a free trail
- Occasional outages
- Manual signature can be difficult
- Compatibility issues
Easy to use
- Offers an online solution to contract signing
- Ensures that documents can't be edited
- Allows all users to know that documents are official
- Explaining the process to the other user can be difficult
- Sometimes the formatting gets difficult when editing documents
- Sharefile is very good at making [our site] appear as an old fashioned FTP site to our non-technical contractors and customers who just want to be able to download files with no technical knowledge needed. This helps keep down support calls from outside the company.
- Sharefile also has a great Outlook Plugin, which we do not use anymore as we standardized our email platform elsewhere, that allows your internal users the ability of sending any file size up to 2GB. It is seamless and does not require user knowledge.
- For those companies that host files on-premise but want to "cloudify" them and make them available anywhere via a mobile app, Sharefile's enterprise grade capability works well for us. We have several drive letters that all users in the company can see and I can now make those available to anyone whether on or off premise.
- Although their FTP like sharing capabilities are good, the ability to set up a site for many to share, there is a limit on how much granular config you can do on it. I would like to see them expand that to more capability.
- I would like to see them have the capability to save the attachments from the Sharefile plugin sends longer. As it is they expire and one cannot go back a year and see what actual file they sent.
- Their tech support has gone under the umbrella of Citrix's main support line so it takes too long and too much hassle to get to an actual Sharefile support person.
- Easy to use.
- Does everything that 99% of companies need.
- Sharing with internal and external users.
- More branding options/customized appearance.
- Good use some additional feature on the app/admin capabilities.
- Ease of sharing files using links and setting access controls for these links
- Enterprise-level controls for an administrator via policies
- Enterprise-level of reporting and audit trails
- Complex and deep folder structures negatively affect performance.
- Certain file types do not function properly such as CAD files.
- Performance can be slow.
- Difficult to see folder permissions and who can access, view, & edit.
- Hard to justify the extra cost to many existing Microsoft customers who have OneDrive / Sharepoint already.
ShareFile taking cloud storage the extra mile
- Provides a solid cloud storage and retrieval platform.
- Provides quick download speeds.
- Allows for quick collaboration with others who must evaluate work.
- Upload speeds are not the best.
- Adding users to a folder isn't always the easiest.
- Viewing zipped files is read only.
Excellent product for what it does.
Sharing files with clients is very straightforward, easy, and users did not require training nor did the clients (ones receiving the files).
I do think the price could be on the steep side. If Citrix drops it down then they could have more customers as it is very practical.
- Easy to share files.
- Upload files up to 100GB.
- Easy implementation.
- Competitive pricing.
- More whitepapers on other services.
For larger companies, it can get very expensive very quickly. Small businesses may go with other companies due to pricing.
ShareFile Rocks!
- Ease of Use. Outlook plugin integrates effectively.
- File retention policy (automatic deletion, archiving).
- Users grow quickly (each client gets a separate account). Automated pruning would be nice.
- I'm not aware of integration with Office365 online (only the outlook app). This could make it harder for some users.
- It would be nice to have something that auto-scans emails and attachments for PII and would require Sharefile for those emails.
Citrix ShareFile is worth the investment.
- Support has been very good.
- Flexible pricing.
- Software updated often.
- Software can close or quit all on its own sometimes.
- The password reset can be a pain with all the "choose a picture" steps to prove you are not a robot.
- I sometimes see issues with synchronizing long file paths and special characters.
Citrix ShareFile, love it!
- Authenticated electronic document signatures--self-signing, and sending out for signatures. This is a robust feature that also allows for additional information to be added to documents being sent for signatures, such as dates, notes, and items omitted but needed.
- Encrypted emails through ShareFile, Citrix apps for Outlook, Gmail, and Mac email systems. Encrypted email messages cannot be cut/pasted, nor forwarded without encryption. If only the attachments need to be encrypted, the email message can be unencrypted. Also, two options for securely opening an encrypted email (one with less credentials, one with more).
- Documents that need to be signed multiple times by one client but on numerous different dates. If this is being signed electronically, it can be a tedious process.
- Because of the encryption level that we need, MS Office documents aren't editable online in ShareFile. However, because ShareFile SaaS can be synced with MS File Explorer, docs can be edited by opening them directly from File Explorer and resaved directly back to ShareFile through File Explorer, instead of needing to download from/upload to ShareFile.
- Well suited for high encryption purposes, such as HIPAA compliance. This is a major reason we chose this SaaS. We also had a choice of encryption levels if we hadn't needed such a high security level.
- Well suited for electronic signatures, be that by keyboard, mouse signing, or finger signing on tablets and mobile devices.
- Not well-suited for service providers who need structured EMR templates for billing, insurance coding, etc.
- Well suited for large state/local government agencies to capture required documentation from contracted providers, especially large-capacity documents that surpass email attachment size limits.
